Welcome to my classroom! I have enjoyed facilitating students in their learning about language arts since the mid-1990s. Oxford High School has provided plentiful opportunities for me to expand my professional expertise and to become involved with youth in extra-curricular roles as well. I served as co-student council advisor for five years and I have attended various conferences and activities that have fostered my love for lifelong learning and for working with adolescents. Some of these include my participation in Hi-Class Literacy training. Rigor and Relevance Model Schools training, and attending various Adventure Club trips.
I am proud to reside in Oxford, Michigan, with my husband-also a teacher-and my daughter, a student at one of our fine community schools. In our time together, we enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and camping. We also love reading, traveling around the United States, and spending time with our families in Chicago, mid-Michigan, and southeast Michigan.
